Just like I found it. Seems like it was in the water awhile.

Submitted for Self Portrait at Human Conditions. ;)
(description for an old contest)***"When I read that the art had to represent myself, I knew exactly which one I was going to choose. This photo is of a flawed, broken shell. Upon closer look, you will see how in it's position on the beach, as the water flowed around it, it actually reshaped the sand around it. And this photo looks better if you look closer at it, make it bigger. All the little details become visible and wonderful even the oceans air bubbles in the sand. I see myself this exact same way, broken and flawed and yet still interesting. I shape the enviornment around me, if I like it or not. And unless you look close, you won't get to know all the little details that make me me."

I could stare at this for hours. Such a long time since I've seen the coast... I love the way the light shines around it. It's an excellent choice for a self-portrait. We're all a little broken, but not all so beautiful. :)

I took this in Florida (dec09) with my little point-and-shoot.
And I actually won second prize (:) woopie!!, :boogie:) for it at Artists-in-Nature.
I have been wanting to submit it for my ID pic in Human Conditions for a bit, but just didn't do it.

Anyhoo...thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it.

Poor little shell :( Oh well, this is still a cool image. I think the shell's brokenness adds something to it.
