"A Song From A Secret Garden" Secret Garden :music: [link]

“One of the strange things about living in the world is that it is only now and then one is quite sure one is going to live forever and ever and ever.

One knows it sometimes when one gets up at the tender solemn dawn-time and goes out and stands out and throws one's head far back and looks up and up and watches the pale sky slowly changing and flushing and marvelous unknown things happening until the East almost makes one cry out and one's heart stands still at the strange unchanging majesty of the rising of the sun--which has been happening every morning for thousands and thousands and thousands of years. One knows it then for a moment or so.

And one knows it sometimes when one stands by oneself in a wood at sunset and the mysterious deep gold stillness slanting through and under the branches seems to be saying slowly again and again something one cannot quite hear, however much one tries.

Then sometimes the immense quiet of the dark blue at night with the millions of stars waiting and watching makes one sure; and sometimes a sound of far-off music makes it true; and sometimes a look in someone's eyes.”
~ "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett

The largest garden I know...my back forty.
Michigan, USA

If one could live forever, because we have lived, really taken breath, danced, grieved, felt joy multiply in our very cells, well then...I'd say let the magic unfurl.
To forever...

sorry its lovely.its just that mums vegie patch was often our main source of food when we were kids ,and particularly in summer, was a continual struggle to water, defend from pests and maintain, and pretty white butterflies and little green grubs wre definitely not on the welcome list

the work is lovely, the subject, whilst i can apreciate their beauty,i gave up trying to grow any brassics years ago 'cause without using poison you just cant compeat.the last time i grew broccolli, i once counted over twenty moths on a single plant and that not even counting the tiny lesser vegie moths. they say soapy water and various organic teas and companion planting etc etc.i just ran up the white flag.know when your beaten is my philosophy

And by love I meant the subject and/or the actual piece. :)
Thank you, Andy.
The moths aren't as destructive here in Michigan. We have the white-tailed deer that come in. The rabbits too. and the skunks. And fences
I don't like to use any type of chemicals in my garden. EVER. All organic for me. Which means i have to pick the tomato worms off by hand **shudder** but oh well. I miss my garden this year. But i was too busy with my oldest son graduating from high school and throwing him a big grad party and then he moved out. ...sigh...
anyway. Sorry for blabbering.
