Relentless

there is a harsh reality to live under.

this reality is endured when the one we call our sun, sets for the last time.
because tomorrow and the next tomorrow after that, probably continuing through our version of forever,
our other sun rises and shines, blazing forth in beauty and pain.

the world revolves around that sun, just as our life revolved around the other.
both nourish. both bring heat and life. both hold us fast to the earth.

life could not be sustained without the one that continues to rise.
we don't want to live without the other, the center of our world.

...that rising sun, he is relentless.
