Eric Clapton "Tears In Heaven" [link] Beyond the door, There's peace I'm sure, And I know there'll be no more Tears in heaven.
...the morning of Paige's funeral, the world was covered in ice. It was cold, stark white and very very beautiful. So beautiful, it almost hurt to look.
The thermometer said 1 degree Fahrenheit (-17 C or thereabouts) when I first went out...but in full shade I think it was colder. The most stunning ice fog blanketed the ground and hovered part way up into the sky covering the rising sun. It reminded me of something out of a science fiction novel or a worst case scenario situation. (Knock on wood). Honestly, it was so cold I developed frost on my eyelashes.
I took quite a few images this morning and I will upload about...four I think, in the coming weeks. I should say "we" took them since my friend Jon was on the phone with me most of the time, keeping me company. I think if he hadn't been, my face would have been covered with frost...sigh...
oh...this has an bit of an Orton filter added. To make is softer yet than it was. Fitting I think.
Thank you for hearing them.
Hope you are well, Jessie. My thoughts are with you
