Uncharted

    tonight

cradling lonesome to my naked breast

he found me on the edge of midnight
   an uncharted land, waiting to be discovered.

mountains, plains and valleys
   an untamed river yet to be named,
laid forth before his questing spirit.

he was the solitary envoy,
   a master at discovery,
   occupying with permission the humid lush rainforest
and quenching the desert thirst.

determined, he left nothing in darkness
   uncovering every crook and crevice
and bathing them in light and heat.

Ave Amicusif I could go back in time,
   wish the day undone
   the day I first looked upon your face
   that fragment of a moment our lives intersected and then intertwined
   when your words pressed enticingly against me-

if I could go back and undo it,
   take apart, cut free, that single strand of glowing time
   and confiscate it, hide it in the dark of the unborn
   leaving tears unshed, unmaking that which has
   created a poverty of silence in my mind, worse in my heart-

under a deep crimson sky

give me flowers with their roots
still deep in the ground
intoxicating fragrances and countless colors all around.

butterflies and books

Is that too much for a mother to ask?

As her tiny hand slips from my hair,
I silently ask other things
wondering what tomorrow brings.

It was a hot, muggy summer morning, the sort that began draped in fog close to the ground. Since it was now nearing 9 o'clock in the morning, the fog had only moved up a few feet to filter the end of summer rays into a pretty haze.

Contemplation   (I am chaos)

Introspection is painful, and the pain piercing-
knowing yourself, your inner workings
discovering the piece of you that
frightens
your
soul.

   (I am deciding)

Judgments are harsh when a heart feels this way-
desiring nothing but complete and utter destruction of the thing
disturbing the inner workings
of rationale
of logic
of sanity.

     (I am worn)

It means so much and it means so little, warring with the self,
deciding for tomorrow-
the dance
the dream
the lies
the truth.

(I am terrified of the whispers in my mind.)

Working on progressi can't run. i won't hide
it is inevitable

there is something about me, in me, you want
and in the wanting i feel you taking

who will i be when you are finished-
when i am finally set free?

what is it exactly that you think you want?
my light? my fire? my desires? my eyes upon you never-ending?

and in the taking i leave you wanting
you are still watching. still waiting and keeping me close

waiting, because i am not done, so neither are you
i am still making myself and you are insatiable

writhe writhe

a word you say in the dark
   dark whispers of pleasure filled words
words for the moment
moments for the imagination

   picturing
entwined legs
interlaced fingers
tangled tongues
tousled hair

   picturing
interwoven emotions
twisted hearts
melting memories
temporary infinity

So
say it in a whisper
     whisper softly in the dark
while you both

   writhe

Before the goodbye   write me

immortalize this life
beyond my last gasping breath
beyond my lifeless form in a sarcophagus
beyond silent stark tears that stream
from the eyes of the living
in the place of the dead

   write me in this moment

your words engraved upon my skin
take me apart with your expression
like plucking the petals from a daisy
strip me down
and make me
forever
stark
bare
   and
beautiful

   write me magnificent

find some splendor in me
stitch it into the fabric of time
my story coupled with your tongue and pen
enduring
everlasting
abiding
undying

defined by more than physiology, beyond biology.

life and death dividing,
pierce me with metal or word, and I bleed.
the ultimate unseen witness to each thought and every action.
broken, still healing in fused pieces the world leaves behind.
I am a heart.

worn for the world to see,
I shine from behind a child's eyes,
cherish lovers with passion's kiss
and comfortably wrap friendship with love.

I am more than a muscle, my numbered days unknown.
I take in all you see, that which you embrace,
and hold tomorrows aspirations safe in this dark mysteri

a hunger

to escape inside myself,

to soar into the endless ether-

the vibrant oxygen free place

from which I was

created

I need

to drown a little

in my quiet blood, my silent bones-

concealed for the moment

from haunted beautiful eyes

that refuse to see (I am)

enough

I dream

of desolate men and places

solitude bleeds into silence

where

the hard fist of loneliness begins to crush

isolation strangles

as I

struggle to even breathe my air,

the essence of

sweet companion

I grasp the fleeting fingers

of solitude

in a desperate tenuous grasp

Secrets in the end...we will meet our end
each our own way
but
if orders could be placed
  mine would be
quiet
blanketed with sleep
alone
  with my imperfect soul
wrapped in secrets.

or maybe,
clutching my mysteries still,
I will be surrounded by
  the golden light of love
radiating from those I claim.
my secrets are similar to those you hold,
ones we all carry
until the burden becomes unbearable.
but I have never been weak,
so they will all remain buried within me-

we are both at rest;
embraced by the comforting weight
of rich dark earth,
pressed down by a stone marker

Love ProsetryI am living a lost life, caught somewhere in-between a field of dreams and a den of nightmares.  Something awful has happened, something beautiful.   The collision of the two has left me speechless, drifting in a semi-state of silent insanity and wordless wonder.

Expression dripped elsewhere in the absence of speech.  I made a decision. I took a giant silent step.

I wrote something for you today. But…I decided your eyes will never see the words.  I doubt you would find fault with the style, flow or meter; they glide like an eagle soaring on the thermals, smooth and majestic and pleasing.
