Photographers: On your wide angle lens, what filters do you use?
27 votes
Poloraizer: some experts do not recommend their use on wide angle lenses, but I've had good results.
ND filter. Don't leave home without it.
Glass enhancers. (this is what I want, but would like some advice on if it is worth it or just enticing camera porn.)
UV filters.
I use them, but will tell you ALLLL about them in a comment.
I don't use no stinkin' filters.
What the hell is is a filter? Like...for your coffee machine?

heya =)

define wide-angle pls! ;)

if you are speaking of the common wide-angle lens, 18-55 or some other kit / standard, then I use a simple UV (Hama) all the time, since my lense(s) are worth largely above 1500€ each - and if needed got a 72mm polar, too.
(I've got a graded ND, too but quality is crap and I am not willing to ruin a shot because of that piece of...plastic ^^)

BUT if you speak of 10-22 (Super)Wideangle - well.....my filters are fitting BUT I hardly can use them because they add too much thickness and the tower sticks out in front of the lens hood - and therefore you got reflections and loose LOTS of quality. - in general, no use of filters on THOSE lenses!
(except if the sun is hiding....but...well.....in that case, you don't need any filters too....)
